Riverside House, London
1:250 scale fully detailed model of a new office building situated next to Southwark Bridge. This was used for marketing while the building was under construction. The entire building was fully let before completion.

Bat Spiral, 2009 Royal Academy
Commissioned by Friendandcompany.Architects, this stunning design is inspired by the flight pattern of a spinning bat. The floating spirals are braced by timber roosts creating a sustainable habitat for the 17 British bat species.

I-Cube, Dubai
The 1:200 model of this unusual building, commissioned by Zaha Hadid Architects, was displayed at the British Museum in London.

Chester Zoo

Capital Models are renowned for the architectural models of outstanding quality they produce. Since its inception, the company has worked with world famous architects such as Zaha Hadid and Sidell Gibson Partnership as well as many smaller local firms.

Some models, akin to works-of-art, have been displayed in museums such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the British Museum in London. Others are highly finished colourful miniature representations of future buildings, with shrubbery and computer-operated lighting of individual apartments.

These models are generally made from cast acrylic and styrene using a combination of CNC machining, engraving and laser cutting from Auto-Cad drawings with traditional hand detailing and finishing to give a consistent and accurate level of detail throughout.
