Google For these internal ‘Be Google’ awards, 15 Google ‘G’s were hand cut and polished, then laser etched with a different name and slogan on each. The Independent Laser cut from 3mm black Perspex and standing about 220mm high, these were awarded to internal competition winners. Chevrolet 70 of these awards where commissioned by Gensler. They are about 150mm long x 30mm high, machined from a solid block of Perspex, with shapes matching that of the new Chevrolet showroom. RIBA Two matching blocks of acrylic, 150mm square x 40mm thick, with the RIBA lions encapsulated in the centre. Forming bookends, they were first presented in 2007 with another set made for the following year’s presentation.
