Capital Models have recently built a number of architectural models for building projects across all continents, from Florida and other US locations, to Russia and Dubai. These world-wide projects are commissioned by leading architects working on high profile developments.
The design for this striking building is the creation of local firm Buschow Henley Architects. It is a pavilion in the middle of an office complex in Moscow incorporating retail, restaurants and parking.

NCP Car Park
This model was commissioned by NCP, a new car park currently under construction in Cambridge. The model is on show in the Reception area of their head office in Croydon.
Larden Road, Acton W3
This magnificent model is of a building with 480 apartments, all individually lit and controlled by a numerical keyboard and LCD display. The apartments can be illuminated by type or individually as required by the marketing agents. Currently located in the marketing suite For Genesis Homes Larden Road W3.
Every member of the Capital Models team is justifiably proud of the company’s latest output.
Commissioned last August by Genesis Homes and completed in November, this model of a development in Larden Road W3, which is made up of new and refurbished apartment buildings, is one of the more complex models created by Capital Models.
The model, at 1:200 scale which is 1400mm x 1000mm, is modeled in detail with realistic colours and textures and features individual lighting for each apartment and all individually lit and controlled by a numerical keyboard and LCD display. The apartments can be illuminated by type or individually as required by the marketing agents.
The Capital Models team, led by model maker Robert Danton-Rees, comprises a refreshing combination of experienced craftsmen as well as newcomers from College, keenly learning their trade in one the more versatile model making companies in London. All train to become ‘all rounder’ model makers, developing a wide range of skills which enables them to undertake a project from start to finish and work with pride and dedication on the commission they are assigned to handle.

These include the following commissions:
RIBA LIONS Two matching blocks of acrylic to form bookends, 150mm square x 40mm thick with the RIBA lions encapsulated in the centre. First presented last year with another set for this years presentation.
Made for the Lanke Osteopathic Centre for Children in Sri Lanka. Made from Perspex with encapsulated logo and text in 5 different colours, 100mm x 80mm x 30mm. 300 of these where made and given to volunteers and contributors to the charity
Laser cut from 3mm black Perspex and standing about 220mm high. Awarded to internal competition winners
100 of these awards where made in clear and glass/green . Presented by the current President of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Laser cut and engraved in 15mm acrylic and standing 170mm high showing a portrait of Thomas Telford, the first President of the Institute of Civil Engineers
6 awards for Nacore International, made from heat formed 3mm acrylic standing 300mm high with engraved and filled text and logo mounted on a plane acrylic base
12 awards for Travel Lodge with a gloss black finish mounted on a clear Perspex block in which was laser engraved the recipients name.
70 of these awards where commissioned by Gensler. They are about 150mm long x 30mm high machined from a solid block of Perspex. The shape matches that of the new Chevrolet Showroom.
