Q: Do you have a price list?
A: Each job we do is unique and is priced accordingly. Please supply drawing information and details such as scale, preferred materials and finish for a quote. All costs are agreed before we commence work.
Q: What can you do?
A: We work with a wide range of materials and can adapt our workshop to your requirements. If we can’t provide the service you require, more than likely we will know someone in the industry who can. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements.
Q: I have a small job. Will you take it on?
A: From cutting material to size, sampling, one-off prototyping and model repairs, no job is too small.
Q: Is everything made on site?
A: Our premises in Shoreditch, East London, houses a machine shop, five laser cutting machines, a large format CNC machine, spray booth and assembly space. We work at this central location for the convenience of our clients. You are welcome to visit us during fabrication of your project.
Q: What do I need to supply for a cost?
A: We can estimate the cost of your job based on initial sketches but the more information you can provide up front, the more thorough the cost we can provide. 2D CAD drawings, 3D models, sketches, reference images are all helpful.
Q: What format should I send my drawings in?
A: For quoting, information can be emailed as PDF, DWG, DXF, etc. as we can view most file formats.
When it comes to construction it’s best to provide us with DWG or AI as these files can be opened and edited in most programs.
Q: What scale should the model be?
A: If you are unsure what scale would be best for the purpose of your model then either call or email us and we can assist you in choosing the right scale.
Q: What material will the model be made out of?
A: We make models from a range of materials and finishes from wooden models with a natural finish, to models constructed from acrylic, wood and metal with a realistic spray painted finish.
If you were unsure of what finish you would like, or if you have a specific material you would like us to use, feel free to contact us to discuss.
Q: How long will my job take?
A: Lead time will vary greatly depending on how detailed your project is. Fabrication work can take anything from one week to several months, whereas small cutting jobs can be turned around in as little as three days, quicker if the work load allows.
Q: How late can changes be made?
A: Ideally we would like final drawings when we start construction but we understand that sometimes the design process carries on.
We try to make minor alterations without any additional cost or delays to the deadline.
If we have to alter or remake parts of the model this could incur additional cost and affect the deadline, depending on the extent of the alteration.
Q: Can you supply an acrylic cover + flight case?
A: We can provide clear acrylic covers for presentation. We can also provide custom built cases and crates for transport and presentation to the specification you require.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: We can arrange a local same-day courier, domestic and international over-night courier and postal delivery of your items. Please provide an address for a quote.
