Female Display Plinth – Private Residence
We were asked to make a bespoke plinth/table specifically to display a piece of art in a private residence.
The plinth was designed to be mounted on to a mirror so that the reflection completed the design revealing a female form.
We layered and glued together 20 sheets of 18mm MDF and CNC machined the decreasing curves to form the shape. We then spray painted it with 2 Pack polyurethane paint and hand polished to a gloss finish.
Taken into consideration the weight of the art that was to be displayed, the plinth itself had to be made as a hollow structure to make it as light as possible.
Once installed, we were delighted with the finished result and we are happy to say, so was our client!
